Ham and Asparagus
This ham-wrapped asparagus was the first course for lunch at a modest "workers' cafe"
Palm Trees in Asturias
Asturias is in Northern Spain - It's hardly tropical here... I did not expect to see palm trees.
Morning BLAH
This is what I look like at waay too early in the morning... with jet lag.

The hotel I stayed at had a lot of chainmail-like decorative elements.
Random Oviedo
Just a random shot out the window while riding through Oviedo
Random Oviedo Street
This isn't my best art ever, but it captures a bit of the interesting look and feel of Oviedo. Taken from Campo de San Francisco
Oviedo Fountain
This city has some nice little parks/open spaces. Just a random snapshot
A Fellow Traveller
Looks like this guy's been waiting around for a while.
Near Oviedo's Cathedral
This building is possibly part of the Cathedral complex, but I'm not sure - it's just pretty.
No Cars Allowed
Lots of these pedestrian-only sidestreets and alleys in the Old City area.
Stonework Detail
I find these old stone buildings to have fascinating textures and character.
Reaching to the Heavens
This is the big cathedral in Oviedo. That golden color really stands out against the blue sky.

Wow, That's Tall
I know there are a lot of much bigger buildings in every city, but standing right up next to this massive stone Cathedral, one really does feel small.
Doorway for Giants
Man, they must have been tall back in the day
Stony Details

Narrow but Friendly Alleyway
When you describe a section of a city as having narrow alleywas, somehow, the brain conjures sinister images - I found these to be very friendly and inviting.
Delightful Little Plaza
There are lots of these small treasures - you're walking around through these narrow alleys and they suddenly open onto a gorgeous little open space. Again, immaculately clean.
Traslaburra
Some kind of dining establishment I gateher - they open late in Spain... like 8pm to midnight late.
She seems to be ready to go somewhere just like that gentleman a few photos back... I wonder if they'll meet and fall in love?
Room to Walk
So much pedestrian-friendly space in Oviedo. I really could take a long time to explore this place fully.
Street Food
Normally, I'd be all about trying strange and exotic street food, but the food (Donaire is like a Gyro) was very much "been there, got the tee shirt"
