Originally, we figured the Canada portion of our trip would be the highlight, but the US really does have some beautiful scenery too.

Surprisingly pretty little patch of road
High trees alongside the road often block astounding views.
Rocks and grass and mountains and sky, oh my.
I just love the tan grasses with the green trees and purplish mountains.
Found this spot while on the way to a non-existant Starbucks. TomTom did me wrong, but i made up for it by finding something pretty to photograph.
It's like praerie country meets the mountains.
A rare scenic pullover in Washington state. The scenic isn't rare, the pullover isn't rare, but the two don't seem to like to coexist in this state.
It's a clear day, but the mountains in the distance are still a bit hazy.
Random spot of beauty.
I hadn't thought I'd be seeing this type of landscape crossing so far to the North.
Loking back down at the bridge we just finished crossing.
Looking up the sandy/rocky landscape.
More looking up.
Some kind of Wild Horse Monument... hey, there's a lady up there... maybe I could climb it.
More breathtaking scenery
I just love the weathering on that rock.
Another shot of the bridge.
Water and mountains often meet in beautiful ways.
Oh, ~gasp~ I guess ~wheeze~ I CAN climb up here ~sputter~ but really shouldn't have.
Okay, so it was kind of worth it.
Oh my... back to flat lands.
Oh, I guess maybe we're NOT back to flat after all.
