We'd been skipping along the shores of Lake Huron for a lot of miles... the urge to take photos was finally too much. This was just the first place where we managed to wrangle our way close enough to the shore while stopping somewhere safe.
This is how a LOT of this part of Ontario looks when you get off the highway.
Lake Huron.. well, a little tiny corner of it anyway.
Rusty mooring ring - Lake Huron
I just love the interface of sky, water, sand, and rock. Low and wide... they always look better low and wide.
There's just something very satisfying for me about a good piece of driftwood. All the better that this was posing at such a lovely angle.
This piece of driftwood at Thessalon on the North Channel of Lake Huron just really grabbed me. I took a lot of photos of it, but it wasn't until I got home and could really play with it that I got the exact settings and tone I wanted. 3 exposure HDR.
