  • Ive been trying to get a shot of these big round hay bails for a couple thousand miles. Every time I'd see one I could get to, it was too late to  stop. If I saw a field full of these where I ~could~ stop, I couldn't see a safe and/or legal way to get close enough. This photo has "been in my head" for so darn long.

  • This is in North Dakota... apparently, we're at the Northern edge of the Badlands.

  • More Badlands. I don't think they're so bad, but I guess that's because we have roads, air conditioning, and lots of Coca-Cola. It might indeed be pretty bad if you're a pioneer with livestock and wagon trains.
