Day 7

Halifax, NS to Bedford, NH

Prev -- Next

The final day of our 2008 Canada Road Trip was all about "heading home".

We drove several hours through some pretty nasty rain to get to the ferry terminal in Yarmouth, NS. The weather kept us from shooting any photos. However, the rain stopped by the time we arrived at the ferry dock. Having checked in, we couldn't leave the secured area without a bunch of red tape, so I assigned myself the job of finding interesting shots within the confines of the waiting area.

This turns out not to be quite so dull as it may sound. I managed to find ways to get usable shots over, under, and through the fence, and I found a lot of interesting little stuff inside the yard itself.

It was quite foggy at times, but I was able to recover most of the lost detail using Adobe Lightroom. If any of my distant shots are a bit soft, this is why.

Anyway, I got a few good shots during the journey, and some really good sunset / coming into port shots as we were... well... coming into Portland, ME.
