Day 3

Gaspe, QC to Miramichi, NB

Prev -- Next

We bit a Farewell to Gaspe, and after a LOT of driving, to Quebec as well. We're off to New Brunswick, and the destination for the night is Miramichi (which I keep pronouncing Mariachi, though my traveling companion got tired of the joke the first time).

Anyway, We stopped at an interesting beach area in the morning where I got the first nine photos in this set.

As I mentioned before, there was a lot of driving, but honestly, nothing truly inspired me until we got into Miramichi. The final five photos are all from there. The bridge is this tiny, barely-room-for-one-car-let-alone-two-lanes affair. It's got a metal grating for a deck, so it "sings" when cars cross it. It's right by the hotel's driveway, so I really had a chance to explore it a bit.

  • Looks like someone set up this driftwood. It's surprising how much of it has been burned (or someone attempted to burn)

  • I title my photos with the original image name so I can always know exactly where to find it, but if I were to use descriptive titles, this one would be "Medusa". I swear it has a face!
