Day 1
Bedford, NH to Riviere-du-Loup, QC
Prev -- NextWe set out from Bedford, NH and headed North into Quebec, Canada. It was about 400 miles worth of fairly hard driving, so I didn't exactly get a huge number of photos taken.
Well, that's not entirely true. We set up my D40 as a "dashboard cam" and tried to get shots of the road and scenery as it looked to us as we progressed.
We took a LOT of photos that way, but in truth they mostly look very similar. I selected a few from throughout the time when we had "dashboard cam" up and running. However, as the clear sky with a few puffy clouds turned into overcast, the camera started having trouble focusing, so we eventually put it away.
I'm looking into some geocoding software. We've got datalogs for the entire trip, so once I work that out, we'll have them all on a map.
At our hotel in Riviere-du-Loup, I took my first night shots with a DSLR. It's a lot easier than with film, since you can check right away to see if you got your shot.
