The Scantic river as viewed from the extreme end of our parking area.
Something compelling about the texture of this old tree.
I've walked past this bridge abuttment a hundred times, and this was the first time I noticed all the texture going on with the fungus that seems to have taken root there.
Those little flowers seem to be enjoying all the rain we've had lately.
Dandelion! FOOF!
My friend Gregor has a slightly creepy barn thing in his back yard
I thought this angle made for an interesting, slightly menacing visual
Another shot of that decaying stump. I just love the texture.
Slightly different angle on the rotting stump - toned down the saturation a lot

This older gentleman lovingly tended his back yard at the end of the cul de sac. He named his place accordingly.
This little guy just looks so grumpy... I love little angry bird.
There was quite a downpour this June afternoon... once the rain let up, I pulled out my camera.
A nice old barn

Some very colorful junk in the bulk trash dumpster
The base of an umbrella stand... I think
A very colorful whatsit
Rather vivid rust
Who would have thought a recycling center could have so much color

I guess flamingos (even plastic ones) are always found near water

My first attempt at light painting. This was taken using a wireless remote shutter release on bulb. I put a green filter on my SB600 flash and manually triggered it from behind the car a few times.
Night shot from my front porch. I played with a few develop settings in lightroom and this is the one I liked best. I white balanced on the road and cranked the saturation.
A British-style phone booth lurking near a quaint garden of statues.
A lovely little stone garden. Has anyone seen a Medusa running around anywhere?
Up close, this phone booth shows its age a bit
